DCL Highlights, Week of 2/17

Reminder: This weekly post is not at all an attempt to pick the “best” puzzles, and we won’t be commenting as critics. Our approach is best described as “puzzles we don’t think you should miss.” Kind of like staff recommendations at a local bookstore.

Whether you solve one or all of this list, we’d love to hear about your favorite puzzles from the week in the comments here, as well. There are surely some we missed ourselves.

Gin and Grapefruit: Get In Loser, We’re Going Puzzling! (2/21) by Greg Snitkin. 11×11 featuring triple stacks and a wealth of clever and fun cluing – Norah

The Modern Crossword: Heartless (2/17) by Darby Ratliff. Saturdays at the Modern continue to be some of my favorite themes, like this one that had me from the first themer. – Rich & Norah

Bewilderingly: Round Figures (2/19) by Will Nediger. Very clever find by Will with his usual stellar cluing (1-Down!). – Rich & Norah

⟪Clever Name Here⟫: Is To Three (2/20) by David B Ritterskamp. Every clue in this puzzle, the third of four so far, is an analogy. It’s definitely a different kind of mental workout from a typical crossword. – Rich

USA Today: Get Him Back! (2/23) by Dan Schwartz and Rose Sloan. We love an Olivia Rodrigo banger. – Rich
